About Tim Lee

An author, producer, writer, content creator and teacher, Tim Lee has spent the life of his professional career using his gifts to influence the emerging generations. He believes that creativity is the seed of all expression and that expression is the key to confidence.

 

Tim Lee is a licensed Baptist Minister and has served as Pastor of Children and Youth for nearly 20 years. A native of Raleigh, NC, Tim holds a B.A. in English from Hampton University in Hampton, VA and a Master of Divinity degree from The Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University in Richmond, VA. 

 

Dedicated to the enrichment and development of the next generation, Tim sincerely believes in changing the world by uplifting the Black community.

July 2007 - May 2013

December 2013 - July 2019

Tim Lee moves to Chicago to work as the Editor of Youth and Teen Resources for Urban Ministries, Inc. During this time he also served as the Director of Family and Community Initiative for the Woodlawn Community Development Corporation, the host of the "Youth Talk Back" segment of the International Sunday School Broadcast, and founded his first 501(c)3 non-profit organization, One Black Man, Inc. 

During this time, Tim Lee worked as the Director of Housing & Residence Life at Chicago State University, shortly after launching his "Be the Answer" Campaign to address joblessness, homelessness and hopelessness among African-American boys between 18 and 24.  He taught three seminars at the Hampton University Minister's Conference, the nations largest gathering of Black preachers. In his free time, he worked as a community activist- consulting with The Rainbow PUSH Coalition and serving on the board of C.I.R.C.L.E. Foundation. He received a certification from the Second City Training Center, having studied improv, stand up comedy, and acting. He appeared as an extra in three episodes of Fox's Empire and performed on the historic stage of the Chicago Theatre in a leading male role for Mahdhi Theatre Company's  "Bronzeville" written by Margret Mahdi. 

August 2019 - present

Tim Lee left Chicago in July of 2019 to travel and create. He created Tim Lee Creations, A Quantum Leap Year, Next Level Enrichment, Tim Lee and Friends, and godstuff Blog during this time. He also published two children’s books, produced five virtual productions, and two animations.
