Project Influence

Digital literacy and digital responsibility for digital natives.

What is Project Influence?

Project Influence, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, is the philanthropic arm of Tim Lee Creations. We empower youth as digital leaders and positive content creators. Through engaging lessons and hands-on training, students learn about emerging technology, using social media for good, and embracing what it means to be a human in the midst of this technological revolution.

Why Project Influence?

Today's youth are digital natives, yet they lack training to understand the full potential of technology or the detrimental pitfalls. Our programs empower kids to harness emerging AI responsibly, becoming influencers for good. By teaching the emerging generation, Project Influence aims to develop young people who can positively influence culture through their contributions to the digital world.

Enrollment and Involvement

Project Influence offers digital literacy programs for churches, schools, and community organizations seeking to equip youth. Educators can also access virtual trainings and workshops to bring digital citizenship skills to their classrooms. We provide online and in-person sessions for parents and leaders looking to engage their kids on using tech for good. With multiple options for engagement, we make it easy for any institution to partner with us in shaping positive digital leaders.

Summer 2023

This past summer, six students participated in our inaugural Project Influence trial run. Over eight weeks, they gained skills in AI technology, on-camera presence, and public speaking. We're thrilled they achieved so much and wanted to highlight just a few of their powerful stories. Read first-hand perspectives from Brianna, James, and Nelson on how Project Influence impacted their lives and goals.

"Participating in Project Influence this summer was the best decision I could have made! I feel more responsible and way more confident in my skills now. The program taught me how to use technology in a smarter way and be more thoughtful about my social media presence. The best part was that I got to apply what I learned AND get paid to create content for Tim Lee & Friends!!!"

James, High School Sophomore

Greensboro, North Carolina

"Working Project Influence has been one of the best experiences I’ve had in a long time. Growing up, I remember listening to high school and mentors . Now, it is really cool to teach in front of the camera as the person I once looked up to! I enjoyed learning with people from different places. It was a great summer."

Nelson, High School Junior

Chicago, Illinois

"Overall, my experience with Project Influence was amazing. I learned how to step out of my comfort zone and gained more confidence in my abilities as a creator. The work that we did during the summer actually helped me with some material that we're going over with in school right now, so it even gave me a little boost academically."

Brianna, High School Junior
